Quarterly is recommended for Cape Town's climate — the combination of winter rain, summer UV and wind means algae, lichen and dirt build up quickly on roofs, gutters and exterior surfaces. Annual cleaning leaves surfaces vulnerable to damage. That said, twice-yearly is acceptable for properties in sheltered locations or with newer surfaces. We'll advise after seeing your property.
Not at all. The camera goes in through the existing drain access points — no digging, no mess. The inspection takes 30–60 minutes for a standard residential property depending on the number of drains. You don't need to be present, though you're welcome to watch. The report is sent via WhatsApp within 24 hours.
We flag it in the report with a severity rating — urgent, monitor, or fine. Urgent findings come with a WhatsApp message the same day. We'll send you a fixed quote for the remediation work. You decide whether to proceed — there's no obligation to use RSM for repairs found in the inspection.
We use appropriate pressure settings for each surface and protect surrounding plants and garden beds before washing. Runoff from roof and exterior washing flows into the street drainage system. Any concerns about specific plants or landscaping should be flagged before the visit.
